Mijas - MIJAS LED IN APRIL HOTEL OCCUPANCY WITH 82,9% IN THE PROVINCE OF MÁLAGA
The AEHCOS figures represent an increase of 8.33% compared to the same month last year

The occupancy data provided by the Costa del Sol Hotel Entrepreneurs Association (Aehcos) for the month of April place Mijas at the top of the province of Málaga, with a record of 82.90%, which is 8.33% more compared to the same month last year. In April last year, an occupancy rate of 74.57% was recorded, which is why the mayoress of the municipality, Ana Mata (PP), positively evaluated these figures: “Mijas’s position as a tourist destination is undeniable, and month after month, the figures prove it. We are a very complete destination and that makes us unique. Moreover, the Mijas brand is synonymous with quality and unique experiences. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the professionals in the sector for their excellent performance, which makes it possible for us to speak of Mijas as a leading destination today”, explained the mayoress. For his part, the vice-presidalso highlighted the forecasts that the Costa del Sol Hotel Entrepreneurs Association is working with for the month of May. “The forecast is that in the month we have just started, Mijas will reach an occupancy rate of 81.28%, while projections for June would once again place the town as the leader with a rate of 91.25%”, he stated. As for the Tourist Offices located in Mijas Pueblo and La Cala, during the month of April, 14,570 people requested information, with Spanish, British, French, and German visitors standing out.
