From March 7th to 9th, Berlin will become the world epicentre of the tourism industry. Mijas returns to this international fair with a new proposal, which hopes to consolidate the Central European market, especially the German tourist. “Germany is the second largest source of tourists for Andalusia and the ITB is, along with Fitur and the WTM in London, another important date in the calendar to attract German tourists, with a medium-high purchasing power, who are looking for very specific places on the Costa del Sol and who we are trying to attract through a very segmented offer, which has to do with rural and sustainable tourism”, said the mayor Josele Gonzalez (PSOE). “This promotion that we are taking to Berlin is attractive and fits perfectly with the tastes of German and Central European travellers, especially after the pandemic. The German tourist is third on the podium of all the nationalities who choose Mijas as a holiday destination.
