The drop in infections and hospitalisations in recent weeks have led the Regional Government to “relax” the current restrictions in place to contain the pandemic.

The president of the Andalusian Regional Government, Juanma Moreno, announced on the night of Thursday 10th how the progressive de-escalation of the measures adopted against the coronavirus will take place from Saturday 12th of December. The Andalusian Board has established two different phases, each one with specific measures. Moreno believes that although the situation is “tough” there are reasons for “hope.” During his appearance, he reported that in one month the rate of infections per 100,000 inhabitants has gone from 577 to 155, which represents a drop of almost 75%.
