The government team seeks to value different unique corners contained within the historic centre of the village

Nature, light, and colour. Mijas Village is in the process of aesthetic renovation to boost its already significant beauty. Therefore, the Parks and Gardens area promotes a new plan to beautify the streets of the village. With this initiative, the government team wants to enrich the most unique corners of Mijas Pueblo. This project, explained the mayor of Mijas, Josele González (PSOE), was managed during the confinement period and was launched after the state of alarm. Now the first results of the work are beginning to be seen. Together with the councillor for Parks and Gardens, Laura Moreno (PSOE), the mayor visited the passage of Canton, one of the first objectives of this plan. Now this location is decorated with new flowerpots and plants and has a ceramic mural that fills this busy passage with light and colour. This mural has been designed by the ceramist Alicia Guerrero and is composed of a total of 736 tiles, each with a unique design.
