The new material reinforces the promotional activities carried out by the Department for Tourism, which have been intensifi ed after the health crisis

To “Reactivate the tourism sector” and “present the municipality’s offer in a more attractive manner in order to attract the attention of future visitors”. According to the councillor for Tourism, José Carlos Martín (C’s), these are the objectives of the new Mijas tourist guide that was presented on Tuesday 29th. The new promotional material is to be added to the specific guides for golf courses and accommodation. “This year, we have put all municipal resources at the service of promoting tourism. We made a great effort in the ‘Mijas, Volver a Vivir’ campaign, as well as in the organization of events with all the sanitary guarantees to attract visitors this summer”, assured Martín, to add: “the Beach Department has also developed the best security measures against COVID-19 of the entire Costa del Sol”. Martín transmitted a message of encouragement to professionals in the sector and stressed that “Mijas offers very attractive open-air options for visitors, in contact with nature, adapting to the new preferences of tourists after the pandemic”. The councillor also assured that “from the department, we will continue to strive to attract national visitors from nearby locations”.
