The councillor for Tourism in the Mijas Town Hall, José Carlos Martín (C’s), presented on Thursday, July 9th the three promotional videos of the municipality made specifically to promote consumption in Mijas and in just a few minutes show our tourists the advantages of visiting our location. “At the first Tourism Sector Roundtable that we held even during the State of Alarm, the businesspersons of the sector conveyed to us the need for specific publicity in urban areas focused on tourists where they are shown not only the benefits of the municipality but also the advantages of its shops, hotels and restaurants. We have prepared this audiovisual material for them and we will continue working together hand in hand”, assured Martín. These videos are framed within the official umbrella of the promotional tourism campaign ‘Mijas, Volver a Vivir’ (We are a safe destination), and are already being shown on social networks. Las Lagunas, La Cala, and Mijas Village are the three urban centres of the municipality and each one offers specific peculiarities. Precisely in the audiovisual material, the Local Council has collected the essence of each of these areas to transfer it to the potential visitors. The Town Hall has made a great effort, not only to value the tourist segments of Mijas, but also to make the municipality one of the safest tourist locations in Andalusia. “After the pandemic, the premise that most appeals to tourists is, without a doubt, prevention and measures against COVID 19. We have worked hard to build trust thanks to the battery of measures that we have launched”, assured. the councillor. “The important issue at this moment is to stimulate our economy and promote consumption, and these three videos show the reality of the three urban centres”, concluded Martín.
