Mijas - THE CHILDREN ASK THE THREE KINGS TO COME EARLY TO REACTIVATE TOURISM
The first part of a tourist campaign that seeks to reactivate national tourism is underway.
On Monday 8th, Andalusia entered phase 3 of the de-escalation within the ‘Plan for the Transition towards a New Normality’ of the Central Government and, with it, inter-provincial mobility is allowed in the autonomous community. Coinciding with the imminent start of the arrival of tourists to the municipality, the Department for Tourism launched the first part of its promotional campaign to revive this industry in Mijas. “This pandemic has made the year 2020 special and within that peculiarity, the children of Mijas have written a letter to the Three Kings so that they do not wait until January and come in the summer to reactivate all the tourist segments that our destination has to offer”, explained the councillor for Tourism, José Carlos Martín (C’s), who thanked the children for their involvement. During confinement, the little ones have recorded home videos based on this tourist letter to Their Majesties from the East using all their creativity. “The children have dressed up, danced, sang and laughed while creating their audiovisual material. We are very happy with the acceptance that this initiative has had and, above all, we are happy to see that they had fun in moments as delicate as those that we have had to live through”, added Martín.
