Mijas - MIJAS ALLOWS THE USE OF THE COASTAL PATH TO GO FOR WALKS
The Local Council also authourises the use of the ‘sendero’ to reach the beaches or to access and leave homes.
The Local Government in Mijas informs that from now on the use of the ‘Senda Litoral’ (Coastal Path) is permitted to go for walks at the times and for the age groups established by the Central Government. With this measure, the use of the Coastal Path is allowed to go for walks, access the beaches or to enable the entry and exit of homes, in all cases ensuring that the social distance of two metres must be respected in compliance with the preventive measures and norms outlined in Order SND / 380/2020 of April 30th. Municipal sources also detail that the use of the beaches for non-professional sports is also allowed for any individual sport that does not require contact with third parties, as well as going for walks, although the prohibition of bathing is maintained throughout the entire coastline. From the local government, they explain that these measures may be modified according to the evolution and entry of the municipality in the following phases of de-escalation towards the ‘new normality’ and they request maximum citizen collaboration to enforce the preventive measures to stop COVID-19.
