The photo-protection campaign ‘Enjoy the sun without leaving your skin’ reaches the beaches of Mijas.

On Monday, July 15th, the new edition of the photo protection campaign ‘Enjoy the sun without leaving your skin’ launched by the Costa del Sol Health Agency and the Mijas Town Hall was presented in Mijas and will be developed on the beaches of the municipality through the ‘Check the UV index’ initiative. With this slogan, the government team and the Town Hall have wanted to publicize and explain about the UV index (UVI) or indicator of the intensity of the ultraviolet (UV) radiation of the sun on the earth’s surface that indicates, using a scale that starts at 0 but is not bounded above, the possibility of solar UV radiation producing skin lesions. Overexposure to ultraviolet radiation is the biggest preventable cause of skin cancer.
