The heat has arrived and with it the summer has offi cially begun and has once again brought one of the star programmes organised by the Department for Tourism. ‘Live Mijas by Night’ starts with the arrival of the month of July and will entertain the nights in the municipality until the end of August. As usual, there will be performances on the Virgen de la Peña Square every Tuesday and Thursday at around 10 pm and, in this area, there will also be an artisan market with various products for sale.

The tourist proposal will be completed with the traditional ‘Tapa Route’, in which nine associated establishments will participate. Those interested in tasting the tapas offered by the bars and restaurants offered at a very affordable price should pick up their ‘tapaportes’ at the tourist office or at the businesses themselves. Those who complete the entire route must hand this in at the Tourist offi ce and, in this way, they will enter a raffle for gifts to be held during the last evening of ‘Live Mijas by Night’. The programme will also be carried out this summer both in Las Lagunas and La Cala, with artistic proposals in different areas.
