The Department for New Technologies begins a campaign to promote routes of interest in Mijas

The Cruz de la Misión route is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful routes offered by the Sierra de Mijas to residents and tourists. Also known as the ‘red route’, this path allows hikers to enjoy stunning views of the Costa del Sol and get to know the local fl ora and fauna. Now, the Department for New Technologies has wanted to take a step further and offer it virtually. Anyone using the Google Maps Street View tool will be able to navigate this route, where 180 highresolution spherical photographs have been incorporated with the idea that the user can see the route from a 360 degree angle.
