This traditional event will take place on September 27th and is celebrated to thank the tourists who remain faithful to our municipality

More than 43,000 people have visited the Tourist Offi ce in Mijas Village during the months of June, July and August. As a sign of gratitude for the loyalty of visitors who come here to spend their holidays, the Mijas Town Hall has organised a new edition of ‘Tourist Day’ on the 27th of September. “With this gesture we would like to thank tourists for choosing us as their holiday destination to get to know a typical Mediterranean white village”, explained the councillor for Tourism in the Mijas Town Hall. The councillor announced that different free activities will be organised for all those who come along to enjoy this celebration, such as a free wine tasting, flamenco shows and a grand paella for everyone. The programme starts at 12 noon and ends at 6pm with an equestrian show at the bullring in Mijas Village. In addition to the previously mentioned activities, the prizes for the 2017 Tapa Route will be awarded. Craft stalls will be installed around the Virgen de la Peña Square to complement the celebration.
