Mijas is preparing to host a special day dedicated to recognising and paying tribute to the visitors who choose our town as a holiday destination. With a programme of cultural, gastronomic and leisure activities, the event aims to highlight Mijas' hospitality and reinforce the town's image as a leading tourist destination on the Costa del Sol. Tourist Day will take place this Wednesday, 24th of September. The event will be held in Mijas Pueblo, our town centre most visited by foreigners and other visitors. As is traditional, it will take place in the Virgen de la Peña Square from 12 noon. There will be a flamenco show and, immediately afterwards, at around 13:30 hours, attendees will be able to enjoy a free paella. In this way, the Town Hall's Department of Tourism, organiser of the event, wishes to thank everyone who chooses Mijas for their holidays.
