The Mijas Town Hall, through the Tourism Department, has presented this Monday the IX  Charity Christmas Trees route, an activity that seeks to raise funds for the victims of the DANA and which is organised by Caritas in collaboration with the Town Hall.

It is an initiative in which businesses, associations, brotherhoods and residents of the municipality participate and which has two objectives: to decorate the streets for Christmas and to raise funds to help people who need it most.

Those interested in participating just need to get a map at the Tourist Office in Mijas Pueblo and La Cala with the location of the trees. In addition, the route includes a competition to choose the tree with the most votes by means of a donation of one euro per ballot, which will be donated in its entirety to Caritas.

The trees will be on display in different parts of the municipality until the 5th of January, inviting Mijeños and visitors to enjoy the route and contribute to this charitable cause.

The locations to collect and hand in the ballots are, in addition to the Tourist Office of Mijas Pueblo and La Cala, the Botello Pharmacy and Calzados Moreno.

There will also be a final raffle with prizes for the participants.
